Alvin and Ailey’s program “Dancing Spirit” which happens to be a premiere by Ronald K. Brown shares the title of Judith Jamison. Also intended to be a tribute to Ms. Jamison, who happens to be Ailey’s artistic director. With solos and combination pieces to soulful songs by Otis Reading and Duke Ellington through funk and soul the Alvin and Ailey dancers reach out to the audience with a story through movement. From Curtain open to close the audience was touched by this production.
